3D

For 3D film images that pop out of the screen, grab a seat and enjoy 3D cinema like never before. Immerse yourself in an experience that cannot be replicated at home.

Crystal-clear surround sound, stunning images and big screen action with even bigger impact – STORM CINEMAS takes digital 3D to a whole new dimension.

How Does 3D Cinema Work?

During the making of 3D films, two cameras are used for each shot, providing two slightly different viewpoints for every moment. These become separate streams of images – one for each eye. During a 3D film screening, the projector plays a left-eye image, then a right-eye image one after the other, so quickly that you think they’re playing at the same time. Your 3D eyewear shows each eye the correct image and your brain fools you into seeing three dimensions when, in reality, there are just two.

All this happens without you even knowing – so just sit back, relax, and enjoy the 3D film at STORM CINEMAS.

OWN YOUR 3D GLASSES

Save money - and the environment - with 3D glasses you can use again.

There are loads of awesome 3D films coming in 2010 - and we`ve found a way you can watch them and save money too.

Now, the first time you watch a 3D film at Storm you`ll buy your very own 3D glasses for just €1 and pay a lower price for your ticket.

We now have special glasses designed for a child to sit comfortably and watch their favourite 3D movie. Ask any team member for details.

Instead of throwing away your 3D glasses at the end, hang on to them and bring them to Storm next time you want to watch a 3D film. Not only will you save money after the second 3D film you watch, you`ll be helping the environment by reusing your glasses too.

Look after your glasses and they`ll look after you.

Enjoy many happy viewings with your 3D glasses: just take good care of them by popping them back in the plastic packaging after you use them. If you do damage your 3D glasses don`t worry - replacing them only costs €1.

If the lenses of your 3D glasses become scratched or discoloured, this may affect your enjoyment of your 3D film. In these instances, we would recommend that you buy a new pair of glasses. When redeeming guest tickets, you may need to purchase your 3D glasses separately.
